There was a small surprise when eleventh rankedVicenza (9-14) won against on the road 9th ranked Rovigo (9-14) 71-65 on Saturday. Vicenza made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Power forward Alice Nori (185-1993) nailed 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Swedish forward Amanda Kantzy (186-1996, college: Albany) accounted for 14 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Sara Zanetti (185-2004) came up with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Slovenian Nina Stavrov (180-2004) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Rovigo in the defeat. Rovigo's coach Maria Pegoraro rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Vicenza moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Trieste and Rovigo. Rovigo lost third consecutive game.
