There was a surprise result when ninth rankedMoncalieri (9-15) beat at home higher ranked Torino (15-9) 68-62 on Friday. The best player for the winners was point guard Claudia Colli (176-1996) who scored 23 points and 4 assists. Center Divine Obaseki (187-2008) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds. Nigerian forward Francisca Chukwu (185-2006) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Ilenia Cordola (185-1996) added 10 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Torino players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Moncalieri maintains ninth position with 9-15 record, which they share with Rovigo. Loser Torino keeps the fifth place with nine games lost.
