Regular Season Round 26: Giussano - Valdarno 77-70

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Valdarno (16-8) against eleventh ranked Giussano (6-18) on Friday night. Visiting Valdarno was defeated by Giussano in a tough game in Giussano 70-77. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Valdarno. Point guard Carolina Valensin (173-2000) notched 24 points to lead the effort and guard Francesca Diotti (173-1997) supported her with 17 points and 6 assists. Even 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by forward Ilaria Bernardi (178-2005) did not help to save the game for Valdarno. Forward Maria Lazzaro (178-1996) added 10 points and 7 assists for the guests. Four Valdarno players scored in double figures. Giussano maintains eleventh position with 6-18 record. Valdarno at the other side keeps the third place with eight games lost. They share the position with Faenza and Bolzano BC.
