We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Montecatini where 7th rankedLegnano (18-14) was defeated by eighth ranked Fabo Herons (19-14) 72-65 on Saturday. Fabo Herons dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Legnano 's 24 and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Swingman Riccardo Chinellato (198-2000, agency: SLN) scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Belarusian Kiryl Tsetserukou (201-2001) chipped in 11 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Five Fabo Herons players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Guglielmo Sodero (191-1993) responded with 26 points (made all of his seven free throws) and Lithuanian guard Vytenis Cizauskas (187-1992) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fabo Herons moved-up to sixth place. Legnano lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Orlandina and Piacenza UCC.
