Serie A top team -Virtus Bologna (21-5) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat seventh ranked Trieste (13-14) 95-81 . Virtus looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by Mali center Aliou Diarra (208-2001) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and American Carsen Edwards (183-1998, college: Purdue) supported him with 19 points and 4 assists. Four Virtus Bologna players scored in double figures. Virtus Bologna's coach Nenad Jakovljevic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds by Australian forward Josh Bannan (208-2001, college: Montana) did not help to save the game for Trieste . American point guard Colbey Ross (185-1998, college: Pepperdine) added 13 points and 8 assists for lost side. Virtus Bologna have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 21-5 record. Loser Trieste keeps the seventh place with 14 games lost.
