Alpo made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Alpo outrebounded Faenza 47-35 including 36 on the defensive glass. Center Serena Soglia (186-2000) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) for the winners. The former international guard Antonia Peresson (176-1995, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Alpo's coach Nicola Soave used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Finnish Lilli Onnela (183-2006) produced 24 points and 7 rebounds and forward Sara Ronchi (184-2003) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side.
