Regular Season Round 3: Yokohama BC - Fukushima 54-85

Yokohama BC (1-1) recorded a loss at the home court. Hosts were rolled over by Fukushima (1-1) 85-54. The game without a history. Fukushima led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Yokohama BC to just 6 points in third and fourth quarters. Fukushima dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Yokohama BC's 28. Fukushima forced 19 Yokohama BC turnovers and outrebounded them 53-35 including 38 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Le'Bryan Nash (201-92, college: Oklahoma St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Stephan Van Treese (206-90, college: Louisville, agency: Two Points) accounted for 12 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Cory Johnson (200-88, college: Valparaiso) came up with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Panamanian-American forward Jordan Henriquez (214-89, college: Kansas St.) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Yokohama BC in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fukushima will play against Toyama Grouses (#4) at home in the next round. Yokohama BC will play against Niigata Albirex and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
