Second Stage Round 4: Fujitsu RW - Chanson V-M 71-51

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kawasaki. Top-ranked Fujitsu RW faced 3rd ranked Chanson V-M. Host Fujitsu RW (3-0) smashed guests from Shizuoka (1-2) 71-51. The game was mostly controlled by Fujitsu RW. Chanson V-M was better in third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Chanson V-M 48-35 including a 22-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds. International point guard Mio Shinozaki (167-91) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Fujitsu RW's coach BT Toews allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Miyuki Kawamura (183-94) replied with 10 points and 7 rebounds and center Sugiyama Miyuki (196-94) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Chanson V-M. Fujitsu RW have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Places 1-5 with 3-0 record. Chanson V-M at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with JX-Eneos S.. Fujitsu RW will play against league's second-placed Toyota A. in Nagoya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chanson V-M will play on the road against JX-Eneos S. in Kashiwa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
