Regular Season Round 38: Oita H.Devils - Bambitious Nara 74-79

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Oita Heat Devils' (9-23) home loss to ninth ranked Bambitious Nara (13-21) 74-79. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Oita Heat Devils won third quarter 16-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Bambitious Nara especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Point guard Tatsuya Suzuki (169-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points and 10 assists. American guard Charles Hinkle (196-88, college: American) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Patrick Simon (203-92, college: Seattle Pacific) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Oita Heat Devils. Five Oita Heat Devils players scored in double figures. Bambitious Nara maintains ninth position with 13-21 record. Oita Heat Devils at the other side keep the tenth place with 23 games lost. Bambitious Nara's next round opponent will be Takamatsu FA (#11) at home. Oita Heat Devils will play against Hamamatsu Phoenix in Mikawa and hope to win that game.
