Regular Season Round 49: Oita H.Devils - Takamatsu FA 79-62

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Oita Heat Devils and 10th ranked Takamatsu FA had identical 11-31 record. This time Oita Heat Devils used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Takamatsu 79-62 on Friday night. Takamatsu FA was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 35-13 charge of Oita Heat Devils, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 23 Takamatsu FA turnovers. Quite impressive performance for American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Toshino Tatsuhiko (185-88) contributed with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Nino Johnson (206-93, college: SE Missouri St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 21 rebounds and the other American import forward Jarvis Williams (198-89, college: Minn.St.-Mankato) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Takamatsu FA. Oita Heat Devils (12-31) moved-up to tenth place. Takamatsu FA lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with 32 games lost. Oita Heat Devils will face again Takamatsu FA (#11) at home in the next round.
