Regular Season Round 10: Saitama Bron. - Fukuoka Rizing 56-68

B League D3 top team - Fukuoka Rizing (16-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Saitama Broncos (5-13) 68-56. The game was mostly controlled by Fukuoka Rizing. Saitama Broncos was better in second period 22-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Saitama Broncos 54-21 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Saitama Broncos helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Bingo Merriex (206-80, college: TCU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Brent Jennings (193-88, college: So.Poly State, agency: Interperformances) replied with 14 points and power forward Cyrus Tate (203-85, college: Iowa) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Fukuoka Rizing have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-2 record. Saitama Broncos at the other side keep the seventh place with 13 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing's next round opponent will be Toyoda Gosei (#8) in Aichi and are hoping to win another game. Saitama Broncos will play on the road against the league's second-placed Kanazawa Sam. in Ishikawa and hope to win that game.
