Regular Season Round 10: Kyoto Hannar. - Ryukyu GK 62-84

There was a small surprise when first ranked Ryukyu GK (6-4) outscored on the road top-ranked Kyoto Hannar. (5-4) 84-62 on Wednesday. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Ryukyu GK looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. International forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga) fired 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American forward Hassan Martin (201-95, college: Rhode Island) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Four Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. American Marcus Dove (206-85, college: Oklahoma St.) produced 6 points and 9 rebounds and Zimbabwean-American Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Ryukyu GK maintains first position with 6-4 record. Loser Kyoto Hannar. dropped to the second place with four games lost. Ryukyu GK will face league's second-placed Chiba Jets at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
