Regular Season Round 10: Chiba Jets - Hokkaido L. 89-68

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Chiba. Second ranked Chiba Jets faced much higher ranked Hokkaido L.. Host Chiba Jets (8-2) smashed guests from Saporro (6-3) 89-68. Chiba Jets had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: Connecticut) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-93) chipped in 21 points and 7 assists. Four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and American forward Greg Whittington (203-93, college: Rutgers) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chiba Jets have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 8-2 record having just one point less than leader Ryukyu GK. Loser Hokkaido L. dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. Chiba Jets will face league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hokkaido L. will play at home against Tochigi Brex and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
