The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Aomori Watts' (10-34) road loss to fourth ranked Cyberdyne IR (22-21) in Tsukuba 75-98 on Sunday. Cyberdyne IR made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for American forward Toarlyn Fitzpatrick (203-89, college: S.Florida) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Cyberdyne IR players scored in double figures. American center Kyle Barone (208-89, college: Idaho) answered with 15 points and 7 rebounds and guard Nobuhiro Hariu (190-96) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Aomori Watts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cyberdyne IR moved-up to third place, which they share with Kanazawa Sam. Aomori Watts lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 34 games lost. Cyberdyne IR will face Tokyo Z (#6) on the road in the next round. Aomori Watts will play against Iwate Big Bulls and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
