Regular Season Round 4: Trepca - Peja 83-66

There was a change at the Superliga leadership position after last games. The most important game of round 4 took place in Mitrovice between two undefeated teams where Trepca beat Peja (3-1) 83-66 on Thursday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Peja. It was a key game for the top position in the league. They outrebounded Peja 38-26 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Gerald Blackshear (205-97, college: Detroit) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import power forward Andrew Gordon (208-97, college: Louisiana Tech) who added 13 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international Dardan Berisha (190-88) responded with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and Croatian forward Henrik Sirko (199-93) scored 11 points and 7 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Peja's coach S Bass rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Trepca have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Peja at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Prizreni-16. They were replaced at the leadership position by Trepca. Peja will play next round against strong Prizreni-16 trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Trepca will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Bashkimi in Prizren.
