Regular Season Round 2: Tonybet - Lietkabelis 88-81

Lietkabelis was upset in Prienai by Tonybet 88-81. The hosts were already 11 points ahead at halftime and as many as 16 after three quarters before a 24-15 last quarter charge of Lietkabelis cut the lead to 88-81 at the end of the game. It was a great shooting night for Tonybet especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Center Dominykas Milka (203, college: St.Rose, NY) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Arnas Labuckas (203-87) supported him with 16 points. Even 20 points and 7 rebounds by Russian center Ivan Nelyubov (207-88) did not help to save the game for Lietkabelis. The former international forward Dainius Salenga (197-77) added 17 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Five Tonybet and four Lietkabelis players scored in double figures. Lietkabelis' coach Mindaugas Budzinauskas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tonybet will play against Siauliai on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Lietkabelis will play against Dzukija to get more than just one victory in their record.
