There was no surprise in Vilnius where 9th ranked Dzukija (8-28) was crushed by second ranked Lietuvos rytas (28-8) 88-59. The game without a history. Lietuvos rytas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Dzukija's 20. They outrebounded Dzukija 42-28 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for international Adas Juskevicius (194-89) who led the winners and scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. The former international center Ksistof Lavrinovic (209-79) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. The former international forward Simonas Serapinas (198-82) came up with 12 points and the former international point guard Arvydas Eitutavicius (188-82, college: American) added 5 points and 6 assists respectively for Dzukija in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lietuvos rytas maintains second place with 28-8 record having four points less than leader Zalgiris. Dzukija at the other side keeps the ninth position with 28 games lost.
