Important game to mention about took place in Klaipeda. Third rankedNeptunas-Akv. (8-3) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Vytis (7-4) 90-87 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Vytis. Neptunas-Akv. made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for Klaidas Metrikis (204-2000) who led the winners and scored 28 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Juozas Virkutis (203-2006) accounted for 20 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winning side. Augustinas Mikstas (203-2001, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Deividas Kumelis (188-1995) added 16 points and 7 assists respectively for Vytis in the defeat. Four Vytis players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Neptunas-Akv. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Telsiai. Vytis at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Omega-Tauras and Vilkaviskis.
