Regular Season Round 9: SKM II - VKKM 62-74

There was no surprise in Vilniaus where 9th ranked SKM II (2-6) was defeated by fifth ranked VKKM (5-3) 74-62 on Tuesday. Guard Tadas Rinkevicius (185-2007) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and point guard Nikita Cikunov (184-2007) chipped in 24 points and 13 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Matas Srebalius (-2007) with 16 points and 4 assists and guard Nojus Paulauskas (175-2007) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. SKM II's coach Gintautas Vileita tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. VKKM moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Marijampoles. Loser SKM II dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. VKKM will meet at home Saule (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. SKM II will play against Zalgiris II and hope to secure a win.
