Regular Season Round 10: SKM I - VKM 79-91

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Vilniaus:VKM (#1) and SKM I (#2). SKM I was defeated at home 79-91 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. VKM outrebounded SKM I 35-20 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for VKM especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Center Vytautas Meskela (199-2007) notched 27 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Mantas Liutkevicius (185-2007, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 21 points and 5 assists. Even 19 points and 4 assists by guard Ignas Razdaigora (180-2007) did not help to save the game for SKM I . Guard Karolis Eigminas (186-2007) added 20 points and 5 assists for lost side. Four SKM I players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. VKM maintains first position with 8-1 record. Loser SKM I keeps the second place with three games lost. They share the position with VKKM.
