A very close game took place in Kaunas betweenTornado KM and Zalgiris II . Fourth ranked Tornado KM (6-2) got a very close victory on the road over 9th ranked Zalgiris II (4-6). Tornado KM managed to escape with a 3-point win 93-90 on Tuesday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 23-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Tornado KM outrebounded Zalgiris II 57-46 including 22 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tornado KM made 10 blocks. The best player for the winners was guard Axuolas Hopenas (190-2007) who had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Arminas Vilkas (200-2007) chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks. Guard Deimantas Jonikas (184-2007) produced 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and forward Jokubas Sablinskas (204-2008) added 8 points and 15 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Zalgiris II's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tornado KM have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to third place. Loser Zalgiris II keeps the ninth position with six games lost.
