Very expected game in Vilnius where 9th rankedNevezis (3-11) was edged by third ranked Wolves (10-3) 103-102 on Sunday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Wolves made 32-of-39 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Marek Blazevic (209-2001) who scored 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international forward Arnoldas Kulboka (208-1998) chipped in 18 points. American guard Joseph Girard III (185-2000, college: Clemson) produced 21 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Ed Croswell (203-1999, college: Providence) added 22 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Wolves have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-3 record having just three points less than leader Zalgiris. Loser Nevezis keeps the ninth place with 11 games lost.
