There was no surprise in Kaunas where 5th rankedAistes-LSMU (1-7) was defeated by third ranked Siauliai (5-5) 68-62 on Sunday. Siauliai forced 27 Aistes-LSMU turnovers. It was a great evening for American guard Malia Bambrick (178-2000, college: LBSU) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. International point guard Dalia Donskichyte (169-2000) helped adding 12 points, 6 assists and 6 steals. At the losing side the former international Karolina Kazociunaite (180-1999) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Gedvile Savostaite (180-2002) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Aistes-LSMU players scored in double figures. Aistes-LSMU's coach Andrius Vaicekauskas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Siauliai maintains third place with 5-5 record having just two points less than leader LSU-Kaunas. Loser Aistes-LSMU keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with 7bet Vilnius.
