Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Kaunas:Zalgiris II (#7) and Perkunas (#9). Perkunas was smashed at home by 26 points 74-100 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Zalgiris II dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Perkunas ' 30. They outrebounded Perkunas 48-37 including a 38-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Zalgiris II brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Guard Deimantas Jonikas (184-2007) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the effort and guard Justis Sinkevicius (188-2007) supported him with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Zalgiris II players scored in double figures. Even 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists by point guard Martynas Barzdaitis (174-2007) did not help to save the game for Perkunas . Jordanas Janciauskas (187-2007) added 23 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zalgiris II maintains seventh position with 6-6 record. Perkunas at the other side keeps the ninth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Saule.
