Top rankedVKM (12-2) recorded its second loss in Vilniaus on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by third ranked VKKM (9-4) 100-97 . It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. VKM trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 16 after three quarters before a 32-19 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 97-100 at the end of the game. VKKM looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Arnas Vaistaras (197-2007) who scored 33 points (!!!). Point guard Nikita Cikunov (184-2007) chipped in 23 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Kornelijus Snitka (188-2008) who recorded 24 points and 4 assists and point guard Jonas Skramtai (192-2007) added 23 points and 5 steals respectively. Five VKKM and four VKM players scored in double figures. VKM's coach Edvinas Justas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. VKKM have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with SKM I. VKM at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost.
