There was no surprise in Klaipeda where 9th rankedNeptunas-Akv. (15-15) was defeated by fourth ranked Zalgiris II (20-10) 91-80 on Tuesday. Zalgiris II dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Neptunas-Akv. 's 36. The best player for the winners was forward Mantas Juzenas (199-2006) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Dovydas Buika (197-2007) chipped in 22 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Klaidas Metrikis (204-2000) who recorded 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and center Laurynas Mikalauskas (205-1985, college: Virginia) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Four Neptunas-Akv. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zalgiris II have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 20-10 record, which they share with Vytis. Neptunas-Akv. lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 15 games lost.
