The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth rankedNeptunas ' (6-2) road victory over 5th ranked Aistes-LSMU (1-9) in Kaunas 84-49 on Wednesday. Neptunas forced 21 Aistes-LSMU turnovers and outrebounded them 41-26 including 32 on the defensive glass. Neptunas looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by the former international point guard Audrone Zdaneviciute (166-2003) who scored that evening 18 points and the former international Brigita Sinickaite (175-2001) supported her with 19 points. Four Neptunas players scored in double figures. Neptunas' coach Martynas Airosius felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by Gintare Paulauskaite (185-1995) did not help to save the game for Aistes-LSMU . Guard Migle Kisarauskaite (184-2005) added 12 points for the hosts. Neptunas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with LSM Univer. Aistes-LSMU lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with nine games lost.
