Very expected game in Kaunas where 5th rankedAistes-LSMU (1-10) was crushed by leader Kibirkstis-MRU (12-0) 105-59 on Saturday. Kibirkstis-MRU dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Aistes-LSMU 's 22. Kibirkstis-MRU forced 26 Aistes-LSMU turnovers and outrebounded them 51-23 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Kibirkstis-MRU looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Sydney Taylor (175-2001, college: Louisville) who scored 27 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Her fellow American import guard Nia Clouden (175-2000, college: Michigan St., agency: LBM Management) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Kibirkstis-MRU players scored in double figures. Kibirkstis-MRU's coach Egidijus Zenevicius felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Gedvile Savostaite (180-2002) who recorded 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Guste Dziatkauskaite (172-2007) added 11 points respectively. Kibirkstis-MRU have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 12-0 record. Aistes-LSMU lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with ten games lost.
