Very predictable result when first rankedVKM (14-2) won against 10th ranked Perkunas (4-12) in Kaunas 105-94 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by VKM. Perkunas managed to win third quarter 25-16 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. VKM forced 19 Perkunas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for guard Mantas Liutkevicius (185-2007, agency: Octagon Europe) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 assists. Point guard Jonas Skramtai (192-2007) accounted for 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. VKM's coach Edvinas Justas used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Point guard Martynas Barzdaitis (174-2007) came up with 31 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Kajus Gerdziunas (198-2007) added 11 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists respectively for Perkunas in the defeat. Five VKM and four Perkunas players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for VKM . They maintain first place with 14-2 record. Perkunas lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost.
