Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Perkunas (5-14) won against bottom-ranked Panevezio (1-19) in Kaunas 84-74 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 42-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Swingman Kajus Gerdziunas (198-2007) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and point guard Jokubas Vysniauskas (182-2007) supported him with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists by Arnas Liandzbergas (-2007) did not help to save the game for Panevezio. Deivydas Virkstis (-2007) added 18 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Perkunas maintains tenth position with 5-14 record. Panevezio lost fourteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 19 lost games. Perkunas will meet at home SKM II (#11) in the next round.
