Regular Season Round 5: Alytaus - Aistes-LSMU 60-74

The most interesting game of round 5 was a home defeat of bottom-ranked Alytaus (0-3) to fifth ranked Aistes-LSMU (1-2) 74-60. Aistes-LSMU forced 22 Alytaus turnovers. Gedvile Savostaite stepped up with a triple-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 10 steals for the winners and Auste Jureviciute chipped in 24 points. Amalija Pasajevaite responded with 23 points and Kriste Timofejeva scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Aistes-LSMU left bottom position moving up to fourth place, which they share with Siauliai. It was Alytaus' third loss in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Panevezys. Aistes-LSMU is looking forward to face Siauliai (#5) at home in the next round. Alytaus will play against the league's second-placed Kibirkstis and hopes to get finally their first victory.
