Regular Season Round 6: KKM I - Tornado KM 72-85

Another exciting game was played in Klaipeda between fourth rankedTornado KM and one of their biggest challengers KKM I where Tornado KM (5-1) beat KKM I (4-2) on the road 85-72 . It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Tornado KM. KKM I was better in second period 29-18 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tornado KM made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. KKM I was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Neidas Linartas who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Azuolas Steputis contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Tornado KM players scored in double figures. Deividas Kapocius replied with 12 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Jokubas Macur added 14 points in the effort for KKM I. KKM I's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Saule. KKM I at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost.
