There was a surprise result in Sakiai where eleventh rankedVilkaviskis (7-7) defeated 4th placed Vytis (8-4) 93-86 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Vilkaviskis made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for American center Gabe Quillan (206-2002, college: Hope) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard TJ Gadsden (199-2002, college: Hofstra) helped adding 16 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was center Augustinas Mikstas (203-2001) with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Ignas Labutis (199-1994) scored 6 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Five Vilkaviskis and four Vytis players scored in double figures. Vilkaviskis moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Jurbarkas. Loser Vytis dropped to the fifth position with four games lost.
