Regular Season Round 8: Saule - Perkunas 96-77

The game had a very big importance for third-rankedSaule as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Saule smashed 8th ranked Perkunas in Siauliai 96-77 . The game was mostly controlled by Saule. Perkunas managed to win fourth quarter 20-19 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Saule dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Perkunas ' 30. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Saule made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Gabrielius Krivas who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Jokubas Kiseliunas who added 18 points during the contest. Four Saule players scored in double figures. Vytis Sliogeris responded with 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Tajus Brasevicius scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with VKM and Tornado KM. Perkunas lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with SKM I.
