Regular Season Round 18: Kedainiai - Neptunas-Akv. 72-75

The most exciting game of round 18 in the NKL took place in Kedainiu. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-bestKedainiai (13-4) to thirteenth ranked Neptunas-Akv. (7-11) 75-72 on Thursday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. 27 personal fouls committed by Kedainiai helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Klaidas Metrikis (204-2000) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Ernestas Jonkus (187-1999, agency: BIG) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was who recorded 21 points and 6 assists and center Ignas Lukosius (202-1993) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Four Kedainiai players scored in double figures. Kedainiai's coach Gediminas Butkus tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Neptunas-Akv. maintains thirteenth position with 7-11 record. Kedainiai at the other side keeps the second place with four games lost.
