Regular Season Round 21: Kretinga - Kedainiai 90-85

There was an upset when 3rd placedKedainiai (14-6) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Kretinga (10-9) 90-85 on Saturday. Kretinga made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Julius Kazakauskas who scored 30 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. point guard Mantvydas Staniulis (186-1997) chipped in 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Karolis Guscikas (206-1992, agency: BIG) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists and forward Rokas Uzas (202-1988) added 19 points respectively. Four Kretinga and five Kedainiai players scored in double figures. Kedainiai's coach Gediminas Butkus rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kretinga . They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Mazeikiai. Loser Kedainiai keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with Zalgiris II.
