There was a small surprise when eighth rankedNevezis (7-14) beat 6th ranked Juventus (8-12) in Utena 92-76 . Nevezis outrebounded Juventus 37-19 including a 23-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nevezis players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for Swedish forward Kenny Pohto (211-2002, college: UCSB) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Josh Jefferson (188-1998, college: MTSU) helped adding 14 points and 5 assists. Four Nevezis players scored in double figures. Croatian center Ivan Vranes (207-1996) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Hassan Diarra (188-2001, college: UConn) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nevezis maintains eighth place with 7-14 record. Juventus lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost.
