Regular Season Round 23: Lietkabelis - Jonava 91-80

Very expected game when 9th ranked Jonava (3-18) lost to fifth ranked Lietkabelis (10-10) in Panevezys 80-91. It was a great evening for Estonian point guard Kristian Kullamaee (193-1999) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 5 rebounds. Bosnian forward Lazar Mutic (204-1999) helped adding 18 points and 9 rebounds. Four Lietkabelis players scored in double figures. American guard Olin Carter III (190-1996, college: San Diego) responded with 22 points and forward Lukas Kreismontas (201-2001) scored 17 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Jonava's coach Paulius Juodis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Lietkabelis maintains fifth place with 10-10 record. Jonava at the other side stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Lietkabelis will play against league's second-placed Rytas in Vilnius in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jonava will play at home against Neptunas (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
