Bottom-rankedJonava managed to get a seventh victory, breaking the series of two consecutive losses on Wednesday night. This time they edged fifth-ranked Lietkabelis 69-67 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Lietkabelis. It was a great evening for American-Cape Verdean guard Makai Ashton-Langford (191-1998, college: Boston Coll.) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points. American center Tommy Rutherford (204-1997, college: UC Irvine) helped adding 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the losing side Estonian point guard Kristian Kullamaee (193-1999) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Paulius Danusevicius (205-2001) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Lietkabelis players scored in double figures. Lietkabelis' coach Nenad Canak rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Jonava maintains ninth place with 7-21 record. Loser Lietkabelis keeps the fifth position with 14 games lost.
