LNBP top team - Soles (37-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat eleventh ranked Ciudad (10-27) in Mexicali 81-63. International forward Juan Anderson (198-93, college: Marquette) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Roman Martinez (201-88, college: N.Mexico) chipped in 25 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Soles players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward Arim Solares (202-83) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Amador Baca scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Soles maintains first position with 37-4 record. Ciudad lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 27 lost games. Soles will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ciudad will play at home against Panteras (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
