Quarter-Finals Round 2: Fuerza Regia - Santos 94-73

Fuerza Regia cruised past Santos to gain the second straight win in the series. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-73. Fuerza Regia dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Santos' 42. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Santos' players. The best player for the winners was American forward Andy Panko (203-77, college: Lebanon Valley, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 17 points. Puerto Rican point guard Carlos Rivera (187-83, college: Hofstra) chipped in 12 points and 7 assists. Fuerza Regia's coach Paco Olmos felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward BJ West (211-89, college: Jackson St.) produced 21 points and his fellow American import forward Greg Smith (198-91, college: Colorado St.) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
