Regular Season Round 3: Navolato - Guasave 91-82

The most surprising game was a loss of Frayles de Guasave (1-1) on the court of Garra Canera de Navolato on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Garra Canera de Navolato 91-82. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 34-21. But Frayles de Guasave won second period 16-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Garra Canera de Navolato shot 60.7 percent from the field. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for swingman Dwayne Mitchell (196-82, college: La-Lafayette) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points and 9 assists. Forward Mychal Ammons (198-92, college: S.Alabama) helped adding 17 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Sammy Yeager (193-89, college: CS Fullerton) with 24 points and forward Travis Franklin (200-88, college: Colorado St., agency: Interperformances) scored 20 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Garra Canera de Navolato is looking forward to face Caballeros de Culiacan (#7) on the road in the next round. Frayles de Guasave will play against Pioneros Los Mochis (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
