Regular Season Round 10: Los Mochis - Mazatlan 82-74

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when ninth ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (3-7) defeated at home 8th ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (3-7) 82-74 on Saturday. Pioneros Los Mochis made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Canadian guard Kendall Williams (191-91, college: N.Mexico) scored 24 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Nigerian-American center Olaniyi Akingkube (208, college: N.Carolina A&T) chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Devin White (203-88, college: SUNO) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and his fellow American import guard Isaiah Wilkerson (191-90, college: NJIT) scored 14 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Four Pioneros Los Mochis and five Lobos UAD Mazatlan players scored in double figures. Pioneros Los Mochis moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Mazatlan. Pioneros Los Mochis is looking forward to face higher ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lobos UAD Mazatlan will play against Garra Canera de Navolato and is hoping to win this game.
