Regular Season Round 2: AZS UMK Torun - AZS PP 77-63

AZS PP (1-1) recorded a loss on the court of AZS UMK Torun on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by AZS UMK Torun 77-63. The game was mostly controlled by AZS UMK Torun. AZS PP managed to win second period 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AZS UMK Torun dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to AZS PP's 22. AZS UMK Torun forced 20 AZS PP turnovers and outrebounded them 46-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Radoslaw Plebanek (190-85) who scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international center Dawid Przybyszewski (215-81, college: Vanderbilt) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Patryk Spojda (186-95) produced 20 points and point guard Mateusz Rutkowski (178-93) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. AZS UMK Torun will meet Suchy Las (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. AZS PP will play against AZS PGd (#2) and hope to win that game.
