Very expected game when 17th ranked TBV Start (1-11) was rolled over on the road by eleventh ranked Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (6-6) 85-56 on Saturday. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. forced 22 TBV Start turnovers. The best player for the winners was Bulgarian Hristo Nikolov (200-85, agency: 011 Sports) who scored 17 points. The former international power forward Szymon Szewczyk (209-82) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Stal Ostrow Wlkp. players scored in double figures. American guard Doug Wiggins (183-88, college: Mountain St.) produced 9 points and 5 assists and the other American import power forward Brandon Peterson (204-90, college: Arkansas St., agency: Inception Sports) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Stal Ostrow Wlkp.. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Krosno. TBV Start lost their third game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. will face higher ranked Energa Czarni (#9) in Slupsk in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TBV Start will play at home against Rosa (#6) and hope to win that game.
