Very predictable result in Pruszkow where first ranked Znicz (20-2) outscored 14th ranked AZS UJK (4-19) 112-56 on Saturday. Znicz dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to AZS UJK's 20. Znicz forced 25 AZS UJK turnovers and outrebounded them 48-27 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by AZS UJK's players. It was a great evening for power forward Mateusz Szwed (200-1991) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds, 14 assists and 6 steals (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Forward Maciej Czemerys (197-1999) helped adding 21 points and 8 rebounds. Five Znicz players scored in double figures. Forward Kamil Barnus (197-2003) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Belarusian point guard Dzmitry Makhnach (177-2001) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. AZS UJK's coach Rafal Gil gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Znicz have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-2 record. AZS UJK lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. Znicz will meet Zubry (#4) in the next round. AZS UJK will play against Tur Bielsk Pdl. (#3) and hope to secure a win.
