ButEnea Zastal was not able to use a home court advantage and was smashed by the opponent from Wloclawek 97-70 on Friday night. Anwil made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. British guard Luke Nelson (191-1995, college: UC Irvine) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and the former international swingman Michal Michalak (196-1993) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. At the losing side American guard Wesley Harris (203-1997, college: Tennessee St.) responded with 17 points and the other American import guard Sindarius Thornwell (196-1994, college: S.Carolina) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Five Anwil and four Zastal players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
