There was no surprise in Gliwice where 10th rankedStart (1-3) was defeated by eighth ranked GTK (3-1) 110-105 on Thursday. GTK made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Start 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovakian point guard Mario Ihring (193-1998, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 19 assists and Latvian Martins Laksa (200-1990) who added 26 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) during the contest. GTK's coach Pawel Turkiewicz allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side Jamaican Tyran De Lattibeaudiere (195-1991, college: Lamar, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Courtney Ramey (190-1999, college: Arizona) scored 26 points. Five GTK and four Start players scored in double figures. GTK moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Start lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with three games lost. They share it with 5 other teams.
