Not a big story in a game in Miedzychod where 10th rankedElblag (3-5) was defeated by second ranked Sokol (7-1) 66-60 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Miedzychod forced 19 Elblag turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Marcin Wrobel (200-1987) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Jakub Nowak (186-1989) who added 15 points during the contest. Sokol's coach Marcin Chodkiewicz used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international swingman Przemyslaw Zamojski (193-1986, college: Independence) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Mateusz Stawiak (203-1996) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Sokol have an impressive five-game winning streak. Miedzychod maintains second position with 7-1 record having just one point less than leader Bytom, which they share with 7 other teams. Newly promoted Elblag dropped to the ninth place with five games lost. They share the position with 8 other teams.
