Everything went according to plan in Kolobrzeg where sixth rankedKotwica (8-5) beat 9th ranked Sokol (7-5) 93-86 on Tuesday. Kolobrzeg outrebounded Lancut 46-34 including 33 on the defensive glass. Kolobrzeg looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Remon Nelson (172-1990, college: USC Aiken) who scored 27 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Daniel Ziolkowski (195-2002) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Kotwica players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Mateusz Kaszowski (181-2001) who recorded 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and Senegalese center Biram Faye (205-2000) added 20 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kotwica have a solid four-game winning streak. Kolobrzeg moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Poznan. Loser Sokol dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Starogard Gd. and Pelplin.
